Learning & Leadership Summit
Each and every person is essential to ensuring that North Carolina is a place where robust families thrive. We host the biennial Learning & Leadership Summit where we enhance the practice and leadership skills of participants by providing educational workshops designed to help professionals develop essential skills. These skills are necessary to support and strengthen families in their communities, activate support for effective prevention practice, and engage all members of society in promoting what works in effective child maltreatment prevention and treatment.

Stay tuned for Prevent Child Abuse NC’s next Learning & Leadership Summit in 2021!

Turning the Tide

Prevent Child Abuse NC board members, Zeke Bridges (kayak) and Thomas Moore (stand up paddle board), planned to begin their journey in Princeville, NC on April 26, 2020 and over 50 miles later, by way of the Tar River, end up in Washington, NC on April 27, 2020.

They intended to battle muscle fatigue, wind and the occasional snake in an effort to raise awareness, and funding for proven solutions to prevent child abuse and neglect. As a result of COVID-19, this event has gone virtual as Zeke and Thomas imagine they’re paddling down the river from their own backyards. Zeke and Thomas have formed a friendly competition and are asking you to choose a side and help us turn the tide.

Are you team Zeke or team Thomas? Please support them and their efforts to raise awareness and help strengthen children and families of NC.
