A Message From President & CEO
Our work at Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina nurtures positive childhoods.
When we build the capacity of parent educators to deliver evidence-based family strengthening programs, like The Incredible Years or Triple P, we are nurturing positive childhoods. When we train professionals in the Protective Factors Framework, we are nurturing positive childhoods. When we build support for family-friendly policies like paid family and medical leave, we are nurturing positive childhoods. When we raise awareness about strategies, policies and investments proven to prevent child abuse and neglect from ever occurring, we are nurturing positive childhoods.
We invite you to learn more about Prevent Child Abuse NC’s achievements from the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic where we continued to lean into our values of partnership, data, equity and a community-wide responsibility to prioritize child maltreatment prevention in North Carolina. Together, we are moving the system upstream so that every child, from every family, in every corner of North Carolina can reach their full potential as the next generation of parents, leaders and neighbors.
Prevention happens in partnership, and I want to express my gratitude to our entire network, including you, for being partners and supporters in our work.
In gratitude,
Sharon Hirsch, President & CEO

We imagine North Carolina as a place where children grow up in safe, stable, nurturing families and communities, a place that prioritizes child maltreatment prevention, a place where all children can reach their full potential.
You Helped Make All of This Possible…
