Program Advisory Series - Issue 3

Understanding Child Maltreatment provides an overview of definitions, incidence, and impacts of child maltreatment. It also summarizes the current research and theory including key risk and protective factors that play a role in child maltreatment or in child protection.  It identifies key issues for practitioners and advocates to address as they plan prevention programming in their community.
