Poster Session

We encourage proposals from a variety of areas in prevention and treatment of child maltreatment.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

A poster presentation combines a visual display on a poster board of the highlights of research, projects and other initiatives with a question-and-answer opportunity. Poster presentations are a great way to showcase your work to hundreds of colleagues from all across the state.

While the posters will be present throughout the Learning and Leadership Summit, presenters are expected to be available for brief presentations or to answer questions on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM during our networking reception. The poster area is located in South Hall of The Raleigh Convention Center, adjacent to the exhibit booths.

Posters should offer participants information to help increase their understanding and skills in child abuse and neglect prevention, assessment, or treatment.

Poster Session Schedule

The Learning & Leadership Summit poster area will be available for mounting of posters on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All posters must be mounted by 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 5 and should remain mounted until 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 6.

All posters must be removed by Wednesday, March 6 at 5:00 PM. All posters not removed at the conclusion of the Summit will be discarded. Neither PCANC nor the Raleigh Convention Center will be responsible for posters left onsite at the conclusion of the event.

Poster Specifications

Measurements:
Each presenter is assigned one side of the poster panel which measures 8 ft by 4 ft. Posters exceeding these measurements and extending into areas reserved for other posters will be removed. Each poster presenter will be assigned a number. Please check your registration packet to find out your number.

Mounting:
Posters should be designed and constructed so they can be attached to the poster board with pushpins which will be found attached to the poster board assigned to you. Pushpins must be inserted at an acute angle to prevent them from protruding from the other side of the board where they can injure persons mounting posters on that side. Poster presenters are strongly encouraged to bring additional pushpins for added security. While it is also acceptable to mount your poster using velcro tabs, double sided tape and staples are not permitted.

Presenters:
To ensure each poster presenter has adequate space to display their poster and answer questions, each poster can have a maximum of 2 presenters (a lead presenter and a co-presenter).
