Training Policies

Registration Policy

It is the responsibility of the registrant to confirm that the registration and payment (if applicable) have been received by the deadline. An automatic confirmation will be generated for each registrant upon successful completion of the electronic registration form. 

Payment must be remitted prior to the date of training. In the event that we have not received payment by the end of training, a $5.00 late fee will apply. If a registrant is unable to meet the payment deadline for any reason, please email Cheryl Pearce or call (919) 256-6613. Evidence of the pending payment may be accepted at the discretion of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina. Failure to submit payment within one week of training or to notify PCANC of pending payment will result in a $5.00 late fee.

Substitutions and Changes to Registration

Substitutions of registered participants can be made at any time by contacting Cheryl Pearce, PCANC Program Assistant or calling (919) 256-6613.

Refunds/Cancellation Policy

As a professional courtesy, PCANC should be notified of any registered participants who are unable to attend.  To cancel your registrations, send an email to Ginny Liverance, Executive Assistant. Cancellations must be received more than seven days prior to the training and are subject to a $20.00 processing fee.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than seven days prior to the training.  It is the responsibility of the registrant to confirm that the cancellation notice has been received by Prevent Child Abuse NC.

We regret that refunds cannot be made in cases of last-minute illness or emergency. However, another participant can attend in place of the registered participant at no additional cost.  Please see “Substitutions and Changes to Registration” above.

In the event that the training is filled to capacity, refunds may be available with less than one week notice if another paying participant is registered prior to the start of the training. This can in no way be guaranteed, and you will not be notified of such until after the training.  

Weather Policy

If a training is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will notify you by email with 24 hours of the training. If weather becomes bad during the training, the choice to stay or go is at your personal discretion.  

If a training/webinar is cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule. You will be informed of the new training date by email and will automatically be registered. At that time you will have the choice to cancel your registration if you cannot make the new date (with full refund) or to move your registration to a future date. 

We regret that refunds cannot be made if the training takes place and you do not attend.
