Enhancing Protective Factors to Prevent Violence and Strengthen Families
In today’s society multiple forms of violence are prevalent in families, homes, schools, and communities. These forms of violence can include Child Abuse, Intimate Partner, and Juvenile Crime, to mention a few. This training will provide participants with an understanding of the common roots of violence, the effects of its exposure on children and families, and how we can help strengthen families and communities by focusing on protective factors. In addition this one-day workshop will highlight the importance of early prevention and provide information about the prevention resources that are available in North Carolina.
